‘The economic burden of incontinence’

The workshop is taking place thanks to the collaboration of WFIP member organizations Bladder Health UK and Bladder and Bowel UK.
The workshop is open to patient organization representatives, hcps, continence advisers, nurses, physical therapists, academia, research and industry, invited guests and indeed all interested parties.
This showcase first ever UK event has been inspired by a compelling wish by the WFIP Board to raise awareness of issues relating to incontinence, bladder weakness, pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction in general.
The workshop will provide excellent networking opportunities for patient organizations, irrespective of whether or not they are WFIP members and professionals to meet other patient advocates, hcps, continence advisers and the like and share best practices.
A prime opportunity in a prime London location to exchange views with clinicians, pelvic floor therapists, continence advisers, patient experts and representatives and industry. An opportunity for interaction and to contribute actively to the debates and to gain an understanding as to what WFIP is trying to achieve as the major international continence platform.
It is also an opportunity to hear state of the art presentations on incontinence and hear about the latest developments in terms of treatment options, access and reimbursement issues. WFIP will also be sharing its plans for the coming year and indeed announce a major new very exciting project which will certainly be of interest to all participants.
The major emphasis and theme will be on the economic burden of incontinence and pelvic pain as a slightly different take on the customary stigma and taboo aspects.
The line-up of speakers has been carefully selected and is indeed impressive. This is definitely a ‘must attend’ event. Participation is free of charge and there will be ample opportunities for networking.
