IUGA Survey on Surgical Mesh

For a limited time in 2011, IUGA is surveying its members and other physicians engaged in treating urinary incontinence in women using surgical mesh implants to tabulate their experiences with complications post-operatively.  You can participate in the survey byclicking here.  Results will be presented at the IUGA congress in Lisbon 28 July – 2 July 2011.

The World Federation of Incontinent Patients, dedicated to promoting globally the interests of persons suffering from incontinence and related pelvic floor disorders, supports patient centeredness in the delivery of healthcare for women, with a priority on safety.  This includes equitable access to evidence-based and efficacious advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pelvic floor symptoms, as well as fully informed consent of risks and patient participation in all decisions pertaining to a one’s care.
