Benefits of Membership

Members of the WFIP work together…

  • to support changes on an international front, across multiple communities of nations
  • to share experiences for drawing contrasts and comparisons of different health delivery systems, even within the EU, to strengthen the collected advocacy voice
  • through affiliation, to issue a calling for representation of patient rights – and consumer rights broadly – as a global responsibility each of us carries
  • to undertake collaborative work among our respective patient advocacy organizations so as to accomplish more with pooled resources and strength rather than divided, individual efforts

Unlike the CPC that takes its direction and funding directly from the professional membership of the ICS, WFIP is truly patient-centered, as it is comprised solely of patient advocacy organizations and does not work to enhance the clinical practices of providers.
